Sometimes you need an answer to a specific question. Other times, you want to build a skill from the ground up. Coach Pickle now gives you a place to do both: Lessons, a new way to learn one pickleball concept at a time, and improved Daily Coaching Tips you can save for later.

Meet Lessons

Lessons give you a clear path through a topic instead of leaving you to decide what to learn next. Open Lessons in the app, choose a topic, and move through its short explanations in order. The topic page shows how many lessons you’ve completed, so it’s easy to pick up where you left off.

Serving is one example. Its ten lessons begin with why the serve matters and what makes it legal, then move into a repeatable motion, the drop serve, depth, placement, pace, and variation. The goal is to build a reliable foundation before adding pressure to the shot.

Inside a lesson, you’ll find a focused explanation, a takeaway to remember, and a note from your coach. When you’re done, mark it complete. You can also ask your coach about the lesson, open a related drill when one is available, or continue to the next lesson. Tap the heart to save a lesson you want to revisit.

That gives you a practical rhythm: learn the idea, try it on court, then come back with a question. If a serving lesson asks you to put ten comfortable serves in the box, you have a concrete first step for your next practice session.

A better tip every day

The Daily Coaching Tip on your Today screen has been refreshed with more useful, varied advice. Tips now cover a broad range of situations, from serving and returns to footwork, shot selection, doubles communication, and practice habits. Each one is written as a specific cue you can try, rather than a vague reminder to “play smarter.”

See a tip you want to keep? Tap its heart. Your saved tips appear in Favorites, alongside the other coaching material you’ve saved. You can also tap Ask coach about this to turn that day’s cue into a conversation about your own game.

Two ways to keep learning

Lessons and daily tips work at different speeds. A lesson helps you work through a subject deliberately. A daily tip gives you one small idea to carry into today’s game. Save the ones that click, return to them before practice, and use your coach when you want to go deeper.

Open Coach Pickle to explore Lessons and check today’s coaching tip. If you’re ready to put an idea into reps, the drill library can help you take the next step.
